Last month we asked for your 2013 Wellness Success Stories, and over the upcoming weeks we’d love to share some of them with you! We’ll start with a video put together by Eric Tangedahl, an IT Director and Wellness Champion from UM Missoula. It’s about physical preparation for hunting season. Unfortunately, every year, hundreds of hunters are injured—and several hunting heart attacks occur as well—as hunters perform the intense physical tasks that hunting demands (especially in Montana!). Proper preparation, just as with any physical activity, not only enhances performance, but lowers the risks of injury or catastrophic events. Preparation and training for your passions can happen all year long, not only when you’re “in-season”. This is true with more superficial goals as well. For example, if you want to look good in your swimsuit next summer start now, not in May.
Thanks Eric, for sharing an awesome video! We’ll post it again next year as opening day approaches!
