Back by popular demand! Here are your June Challenges:

Montana Meals June Challenge:

For this month’s challenge, build a meal that resembles the MyPlate icon: ¼ of your plate filled with healthy protein, ¼ filled with whole grain, and ½ filled with vegetables and fruit. See the icon below. Your meal can be a mixed dish too as long as proportions remain the same, and dairy is optional. Take a photo, tell us what it is, and email it to us at wellness@montana.edu with the Subject line June Meals. Click here for some photo examples from last year.

Montana Moves June Challenge: Down and Dirty!

God made dirt. Dirt don’t hurt.

Here’s the one time in life you won’t get in trouble for taking a dirty picture, because that’s exactly what we’re challenging you to do this month! Send us a fun picture of you (and friends) getting dirty on the trail, in the wilderness, or on the water during the month of June. It’s the rainy season in Montana, so it shouldn’t be hard to find a little mud out there. (You did realize we were talking about getting muddy, right?)  You don’t even necessarily have to get muddy to play—dirt, sweat, blood: they count too.  Dirty dogs, absolutely. Bicycles, yes please. Garden work, sure!  The point is to hit the trails, mountains, or water, and have FUN!!!  Send your picture to wellness@montana.edu by Tuesday, July 1 to be entered into our monthly prize drawing.  The prize this month is a 21-ounce Hydroflask. Also remember that we’ll have our big Quarterly drawing at the end of the month as well!  Here are a couple of our favorite entries from last year:

2013Father'sDay 043 (640x480)
Diane Brooks and daughter getting muddy on the mountain bike trails around Billings.
SuperAli!
Ali Pepper can leap fire in a single bound at the Spartan race in Bigfork.
You must be a Montana University System insured plan member to participate.
